The eighth edition of the Book Fair, Reading and Cultural Industries of Castilla-La Mancha, Cuenca will be held on April 26 to May 2. Book presentations, meetings with authors, exhibitions, courses, seminars, discussion forums, workshops, magic and storytelling are some of the activities in this edition of the Fair, which is establishing itself as one of the most significant cultural events of the region.

In 2009 the overall turnover exceeded 500 thousand euros and the Government of Castilla-La Mancha wishes to take this event to show support to the publishing world, especially to SMEs for their important role as generators of employment and wealth in the region.

Entre las principales actividades programadas en esta VIII edición destaca «La narración en el hogar» que contará con la actuación de los Filandones, en la que los autores leoneses Luis Mateo Díez, José María Merino y Juan Pedro Aparicio, hilarán historias a partir de una propuesta de narración. Los lectores también podrán tener encuentros con algunos escritores de la categoría de Fernando Savater, Manuel Rivas, María Dueñas o Cristina Fernández Cubas.
